KG: First of all, let me tell you that I did read the book and it is fantastic! I love what you have done, really! I love how you worked through all the information about focusing, mind set, attitude, the psychology of it, the intuitiveness of it, and also teaching people how to shift their focus. I also loved the whole part in the back where you are talking about working with other people and maybe they dont really need to be healed and how do you handle that. It is great. This is perfect! I left it on the coffee table. My husband came around and the book suspiciously disappeared. I know he has been reading it. Tonight when I asked him where the book was, he told me that I couldnt have it! I had to promise him I would give it back to him. ME: I'm excited that this book has such a wide appeal. KG: I think so many people need this kind of information because they need to understand that they have some power in their own health. I think this book is excellent that way. Can you tell us a little bit about your background and how you came to write this book? What was it that inspired you to do this? ME: I was down in I had a part time job. I was the Director of Development of an organization. I was down in the dumps with a mild depression. My footing in the world slipped when the job I had ended. After 3 and a half months it didnt work out. I was fatigued. Here I am in a big house, new place, new state, new area and suddenly I think what will I do next? The tears constantly welled up in my eyes. Everything caught up with me. I started reading Joan Borysenko's book, "Fire In the Soul." It was so inspiring. Finding this book was wonderful because it addressed the awakening of the soul from despair to optimism. Every morning I would sit and pose a question to my intuitive mind and listen for the reply. Things weren't going well. One morning I posed a question and heard, "you need to start writing again." I listened to this sage advice and within two weeks I felt the sunshine again. As I was writing about Intuitive Healing, the passion was reawakened in my soul.
KG: You knew you had all these things that were happening to you. You had no inner guidance that something was wrong even before the job ended? Did you tap into your inner guidance before then or what exactly was going on? ME: I always tap into my inner guidance. I had taken a fall four months before I moved which was a strong signal to me. It is not like I didnt know something was wrong. I knew I had a mental, emotional, spiritual and mental dysfunction or disconnect and that I wanted to heal myself. My vitamins werent helping. There really wasnt anything else that I could do. By sitting down and writing I was getting in touch directly with my inner wisdom or intuition. KG: This is more about physical health? Even though physical health may be part of what you are looking to heal when you are searching for your inner guidance about this, it could be more than that? ME: There is always a lesson. Wellness is accomplished with the mind, body, heart and soul in sync. When each communicate without interference, a sense of harmony results and the individual feels totally aligned and balanced. A lesson is to be learned when any of these four facets are out of alignment. For example, you may have a gum problem which is physical. But the lesson is to figure out why you are keeping your mouth shut when you need to speak out. You may feel emotionally afraid or mentally tired. So you are connecting that to the physical ailment. KG: You decided to then write this book. What was the purpose of this book? Was it a personal journey for you? Was this something that you were expressing for others? How did that manifest into an actual book with topics and ideas? ME: Teaching people to cultivate their intuition is my passion and life's work I teach it. I write about it. I talk about it. I make tapes about it. In any form that I can. I had already gone into my second book, which now will really become my third book. I already had the manuscript. I had interviewed 160 people about their use of intuition in decision making and that wasnt getting a strong green light from the publishers. So, I said, what is the next area that I really want to explore with intuition. I was so concerned with my own health. It was my journey, but my journey is to give it back to the rest of the world. When I look through the pages of this book, I cant believe what came through me. I call it a healing manifesto. Just a map of the Wellness Trail, a path to walk for a lifetime, guided by your intuition or inner physician. KG: You talk about this wellness trail and this inner physician. What types of ways can people receive this information, this guidance about their health? Can they really know in advance about things that are happening? ME: One of the ways that you can get information is through your dreams. Lets go back to how the intuitive mind speaks which is in symbols, images, pictures and metaphors. So, when you are dreaming, what you are doing is that you are getting a picture that you need to decipher. Can I give you an example? One dream belongs to someone else and one dream belongs to me. The first dream I will talk about is from a woman named Nancy. Nancy was in her 50s and she had her uterus and her ovaries removed. This was after the doctor spotted a cancerous growth in that area. She was very anxious. She was very alert to any recurrence. The doctors were probing her with questions. It was a very exciting and rocky situation. She was very involved in the whole area of dreams. So, one night she managed to calm herself after her inner physician came to her in a dream in which she received a gift certificate for a tank of gas. In the dream she drove over the hill and at the bottom on the other side, she noticed that the gas tank was empty. She filled the gas tank up just in the nick of time. End of the dream. She woke up and she was just elated. The meaning was very obvious and reassuring to her. She literally felt that she was over the hill now with her health crisis. Now she could get through life with a full tank of gas. Isnt that fascinating? The dream rang true to life because she didnt have any recurrence. She managed to quiet herself. Here is another example of how a dream can come from "left field" to alert us to an incipient health problem coming up. This is my dream. I dreamt that a tall woman doctor gave me a diagnosis of cancer. In this dream I was absolutely stunned by this pronouncement. I called the doctor a quack and a phony for trying to make me believe that I had this dreadful disease. I woke up and my heart was beating and it was so real. I dutifully noted it in my dream book. I didnt want to hold on to that image, but it was so strong. I forgot about it. Months later, in real life, I made an appointment with a skin doctor I had never met. I wanted to have a red bump on my nose examined. I am lying there on the table and I felt a real surge of pain right in my nose. I look up and I see the doctor sewing up my nose and there is blood spurting. I was absolutely appalled. I only came for an opinion. He didnt ask me anything. Here I am a public speaker and he explained that he needed to cut a piece out of my nose for a biopsy to see if I had skin cancer. I might mention that this doctor I had never seen before was a short male. Notice the correlation with my dream. In my dream there was a tall female and he was a short male. Dreams are always fascinating because we always get this dream reversal. Here was this doctor who was so convinced that I had cancer and he is already urging me to have this series of cancer treatments. My head was spinning. When I finally called when the biopsy came back several days later he said that I didnt have cancer. The test was benign. He suggested that I have a series of cancer treatments anyway. Suddenly the dream popped right into my head real, real strong. I was guided by that dream, where I called the doctor a quack and a phony for trying to insist that I had cancer. I heard his diagnosis as I remembered that dream. I had to say to the doctor, "How can this cost me $1200? Thanks, but no thanks." Weeks later I went to another doctor and I had a clean bill of health. Can you see how this alerted my intuitive mind? It foreshadowed this wrong diagnosis. KG: You said that in the one dream, this other woman had her inner physician come to her. Who is this inner physician and how can a regular person get in contact with them? You dont look in the yellow pages, you know! ME: My pal is the inner physician or the intuitive mind and it is really wonderful. It can reach into this healing pouch and prescribe if I have a heavy dose of the flu or a tummy ache. The inner physician can reach in and prescribe that ounce of prevention or timely remedy for whatever is going on. This inner physician is of course the intuitive mind. We can call it many names. We can call the inner physician inner healer or inner guide or inner helper or health advisor or higher mind or higher self whatever we choose or just inner mind. I just like the phrase, the inner physician. KG: I dont mean to be facetious, but why would we want to develop this inner physician? Why not just go to a doctor? ME: Did you see what happened to me? If I went to a doctor, I would have been out $1200 for an operation I didnt need. So, why do we go to the inner physician? To take the responsibility to validate what is going on with our health. This is all about responsibility. KG: Marcia, can everyone do this? How does the average person walking down the street even get started trying to do this? ME: This is what excites me. Everyone can enjoy radiant health. That might sound like a very bold statement because we know there are people with major illnesses all over the world. The inner physician, the inner healer, can guide you to a state of radiant health that you desire and deserve. When I use that word radiance, I am thinking of people I know who have a major illness and there is still a quality of radiance that comes from them. Though miraculous healings can occur, it is really simplistic to assume that anybody can read my book, apply the practices, and instantly turn a devastating illness into well being. What they can get is the breakthrough perspective. They can see the deeper meaning of any ailment way beyond the physical to see the interaction between the body, mind, heart, and soul and know what is going on here. They will know what steps to take to address the causes. They can then begin to process this. KG: In your book, you talk about something called the "Mindshift Method." Can you talk about that a little bit? ME: Yes. The "Mindshift Method" is a bridge or doorway from the logical mind to that mysterious intuitive realm. That intuitive realm contains a vast storehouse of healing wisdom. Way back five years ago, when I wrote my first book, which came about because I was teaching a graduate course called, "Integrating Intuition and Logic" for managers, I had to teach people how to get to their intuitive mind. They were very stuck in the logical state. In my first book, I called it the "Intuitive Problem Solving formula." Now I call it the "Mindshift Method." It is just like learning the steps to a dance. It is kind of difficult in the beginning. Then it gets easier and easier and the flow comes about. The steps we are starting with is the logical mind. In the first step we are defining the problem or issue. Then we want to move out of that wordy space. Remember the intuitive mind speaks in pictures, symbols and images. How can we get to that space? The next step is to become centered in order to release the mental tension. Then we go to the next step. We want to release the physical tension and we become more receptive. Receptivity is breathing and relaxation exercises for both. Let's go back to when we become centered. We say an affirmation. We might look at a mantra or focus on an object. Then to the receptivity. We do our breathing and we do our relaxation. Then it brings us to a point where we want to elicit the imagery. We want to become more aware of the feelings and the insights to the pictures that the intuitive mind is sending us. That is the forth step of eliciting the imagery. Now the imagery is often puzzling and we dont understand it. It is like awakening from a puzzling dream where we just killed somebody and we are absolutely astounded. Now we have to interpret that symbolism. What does that killing mean? Maybe I should shoot somebody? You know I wouldnt do something like that. Maybe I put an end to a situation or an end to a relationship. The imagery comes up and we are interpreting it. I use two main techniques amplification and word association. That is going to bring about the "ah ha". We go to the next step and that is incubation. If the message is still puzzling we have to step back and let the ideas seed and incubate. Sometimes the response will stimulate more. The logical mind comes up with another question. We pose that to the intuitive mind. We go through the same thing. We get our symbols. We respond and we go back and forth until we feel a sense of completion. Before we know it, we have the "ah ha" to our original question or original issue and we are ready to implement a solution. What I would like to do is briefly take you through the steps with and actual situation. How would that be? KG: Perfect. That would be great! ME: I want to talk about Al. Anytime I talk about people and this is so in my workbook or in my present book, I want to impress on people that these are real situations because I couldnt possibly make up all these situations. Many people come to me in seminars, workshops, and classes so I am using their experiences and their "ah ha." We are going to talk about Al who just took a leave of absence from a company where he worked for 30 years. Secretly he just wanted to go off and take a safari to Africa. In his personal life, he felt very beleaguered. His ex wife was running up some very major debts to which he was feeling responsible. He kept telling his friends, "Please dont tell me anything she is doing, I dont want to hear it." You can probably get to the bottom line. Al suffers a hearing loss. This hearing loss is interesting because it comes and goes and the doctors are unable to locate the cause of his malady. He decides to engage in the Mindshift Method to discover what is going on. He starts with the issue. Very simply he says, "What keeps me from hearing?" Next step is centering. He gets up early one morning and goes to his study. He sits at his desk and he stares at this multi colored rock that he found on a family outing. He goes to the next step of receptivity. He takes several hang-sah breaths. That is a technique in my book. He closes his eyes and he relaxes his body from the tension by going through the tense-and-release technique. Now he is going to go to elicit the imagery. He asks his inner physician how he can regain his hearing. Two images come up and the first is a stethoscope. Then he sees the Berlin Wall being broken down. This image was very poignant for Al because he visited that historic site right after the wall was being torn down. Now we come to the point of interpreting the imagery. Lets start with the word, stethoscope. He begins to amplify. When you amplify, you go to that central word stethoscope that you keep associating and you come back and back. He comes back with associations like instrument, medical, amplify and then he gets this "ah ha." He says that a stethoscope is used to listen to the heart. He realizes that he needs to listen to his heart. His heart is telling him to make a clean break with his ex-wife. His head is saying to hang on and collect the money. The heart saying make a clean break is important. When he realizes about the clean break, he understands the Berlin Wall image. He needs to have an opening. He needs to be open to making a clean break with his ex-wife, whether she repays the debt or not. This is what he doesnt want to hear. He takes a little break from these insights. He comes back to the Mindshift and asks, "What do I need for completion?" He sees an image of two people shaking hands and he wonders could this be an agreement or goodbye. He is not sure, so he uses my technique of a traffic light for clarification. With another technique you are bringing a traffic light to the theater of your inner mind. You ask the question and you see what light goes on. He asks if his relationship with his wife should end. A red light comes on. Stop, without further agitation! Then he comes to the last step, which is implementing the solution. For him, he does this in several ways. He takes time throughout the day to picture his ex-wife and affirm, "I release my hold on you and I wish you well. Thank you for releasing your hold on me and wishing me well." Then he imagines that he is shaking hands and he is making the parting amicable. He also resolves to pay his ex-wifes present debt. He gets her agreement that he is not liable for any future debt. He begins to feel free and clear. Now the hearing doesnt just disappear overnight, but in a couple weeks there are no more problems. KG: So, not only by using his intuition, but also by using his imagination and imagery as a package or by combining all of these features together, he really was able to let go? ME: Yes, imagery is the key because again, that is how the intuitive mind is speaking to us. We have to be able to receive the imagery clearly. Then the quality of the imagery is what we can take and work with to reduce the problem, to eliminate it, to make it innocuous and harmless. KG: Can you talk a little bit about of how what we believe affects our health and our intuition? What if he really didnt believe he could do this or if he really didnt believe he could ever get rid of her? ME: The amazing thing I see, as I am going out and speaking to many groups of people and I always give them an exercise when I speak to them. I am not just talking about workshops. I am talking about lectures, book signings, and so on. People come up with the most puzzling symbols and they have no idea about the underlying meaning. They dont believe it, but yet they are going along and something comes up and when we unravel that it is like their own proof. As the English say, the proof is in the pudding. They are finding out for themselves what this means. Let me address that a little more directly. If you believe it is not going to happen, it wont happen. I have a line from Oscar Wilder, "the doctor says Dunbary will die, so Dunbary died." KG: So, when your doctor said you had skin cancer and if you hadnt gotten information in advance, you might have believed it. ME: Without a doubt. KG: That is not to say that doctors arent sometimes right. We cant turn around and say doctors are always wrong, but it is good to have a second opinion of your inner physician as well. ME: That is the idea. The inner physician is validating the outer physician. KG: Marcia, in your book you give a lot of exercises and they are great. What is your favorite exercise? If someone were to be starting this, what would be an exercise that really just seems to work well with people and you enjoy it yourself? ME: I like to invite people to hear the intuitive body speak. I will give you an example of mine and I will give you a couple of other examples. We could go into the body into an ailing area and often when I start talking to a group of people I will say is there anyone in this room who has had an ache or a pain in the last week? Everybody puts up their hand and they laugh. They all have something from a hangnail to a headache to something more serious. The idea is that I am asking people to go into that area, like with me it is my right knee, and to go in and see an object. If there were an object in that area, what object would you find there? What would you see in your knee? I could use any one of a number of metaphors, sometimes color in addition, or if there were a song in there, what song would it be? When I go into my knee, I saw sagging rubber bands. Here is an idea where we use the imagery to see the sagging rubber bands and I use the imagery to make them more taught. I was tightening the rubber bands. Then when I looked into that area for color, I saw light blue. That light blue reminded me of the igloos, pictures in ice advertisements. That was a very strong intuitive message that I needed to keep this knee cooled and avoid any kind of excess heat. I was going to the hot tub. When a song popped up, I heard the golden oldie, "Youll Never Walk Alone." At first I wondered if I needed crutches or a cane. Then I realized that my knee alone was not the problem, but my whole body needs treatment. It is the body, mind, heart and soul the whole thing. The other night I was in Seattle and I was doing this with a group of people. The people that come are very naïve and they dont know what is happening. They dont practice this. One woman volunteered her images. In her shoulder, she had a meat grinder. She saw the color red. The song was, "Never On Sunday." I said, "Do you have any idea what this means?" She said, "No." I said, "Good." I dont like to just come out and tell even if I have a clue. I want this to be their discovery. I said, "Lets go in and see what this is telling you." I just looked at her and said, "The meat grinder? Have you been grinding away lately?" Her eyes get wide open, and she says, "Yeah." I said, "Are you angry about this?" She said, "Yeah." I said, "What does this mean? Are you working every day? Never on Sunday?" It became so illuminating to her that she wasnt taking the time off that she needed. KG: She needed her day of rest. Wow! Thats great! ME: I had a woman named Jenny come into a seminar. She came down with diabetes a month after she turned 53. As we did this in the seminar she saw a pincushion stuck with needles and her color was also red. She heard the song, "If I Had A Hammer." As we did this, she realized that she was the pincushion and she was sticking herself with insulin needles. That was her anger. Her anger wasnt at the process. She had been angry with family members, particularly her brother, for years. She now saw that that had really poisoned her life and affected her health. She needed to "hammer out the love between her brother and her sister" rather than continue to nurse her resentment. The connections that people make are just so wonderful. A gal was working with her eyesight two nights ago. She had a pain right in her eyes. She got the color black. "What was the pain?", I said. She thought she was being blocked with writing. The song she came up with was "Amazing Grace." She said, "I dont understand it." I said, "Amazing Grace. I once was blind, but now I see." The messages that pop up are so unique and they are not things we can plan. They are so unique. KG: Some of the things that you are talking about are pretty serious health challenges. You were certainly aware of your knee. The man was aware of his hearing and the woman was aware of her diabetes. What kind of suggestions can you give people for reversing these kinds of situations and creating a more radiant health in their life? ME: I think the first thing is to take the responsibility again for what is the connection. Let me say this on a very simple level. I have heard people, even in my own family, say, "I have a cold because I sat next to someone with a cold." To take the responsibility that we are going beyond the physical, when you sit next to someone with a cold, ask why you are vulnerable? Why are we attracting a particular illness in an area? It is not only in an organ, or in our immune system or in our shoulders, for example because we are trying to reach out so we need to ask what is going on here? To understand that, we really want to go beneath the symptom and look at that body mind connection. KG: Should people, if they are using imagery or dreams or whatever, is it helpful for them to write it down and then come back to it? Sometimes, as you said, they dont get it when they see a symbol or they get a song. How can they come around to understanding that? ME: Okay, of course when I am working with people, it is a lot easier for them to get it. I get it very quickly with my strong intuition. As they are working with it, they can incubate. They can take time out. They can ask for a dream. One of the things that I ask them to do is to start dialoguing. I started to dialogue with my knee. The first thing the knee was telling me was that I am bent out of shape. Because your emotions are bent out of shape and your body is out of alignment. You need to get straightened out emotionally. You need to bend to the changing times and circumstances and be more flexible. This was interesting because I think of myself as a very flexible person. The second day I heard the knee say when I was dialoguing, you are out of joint and out of shape. Start exercising me gently. When you are ready to go out and go forward, I will be too. You are not only out of joint, but you are bent out of shape and you are putting too much weight on me. Each day I was getting different messages. KG: A lot of it can be looked at as, as an example - your knee, what can knees do? They carry your weight, but they bend. They genuflect. There is humility. Out of all of these things that they physically do, but what could that mean on a more emotional or spiritual level? ME: Right. You mentioned keeping a notebook. That is wonderful because you need to work with these things. If you dont get it right away you will as you begin to work with the amplification and the word association. You keep working with it and suddenly, that "ah ha" is very powerful. It does come through. KG: Once you are able to do this, what if your mother is sick or your child is sick, what can you do to help them? Working with yourself is one thing, but what about helping someone else? ME: This is the beautiful thing. You can call the intuitive hot line to talk to another person and facilitate their healing. I have four steps that I can describe very, very briefly. Then I can give an example. One of the things that I teach in the book and this is step one is to do a body scan. Discover what really needs healing. Sometimes we may think it is one part when it actually really is another part. I just want to say here is that most of us give up our power by thinking that someone who is a great intuitive or medical intuitive can do this, but we cant do this. If you believe that you can do it, you will do it because that is being intuitive. We go in to do a scan and we get the information by seeing colors and shadows or even by feeling hot or cold. To repeat, the first thing is to go in and do a body scan. Step two is to look beneath the service for a metaphor that is depicting the symbolic meaning of what is going on and what judgements need to be made. Step three is to discover what tool you should use and I could call it the Mindshift message - to address the cause of the physical ailment. Maybe it is forgiveness. Maybe you are resolving a negative situation with a more positive perspective. Step four is to look at the lesson that brings the body, mind, heart, and soul into alignment. Those are the four steps and here we go with an example. Stephen wants to do a healing for his friend, Paul. Paul is 700 miles away. This is beautiful. You dont have to be right next door. He closes his eyes and he scans the body, that is step one, for energy blockages and he notices patches of blockages around the heart. Then he goes to the next step where we are trying to get a symbolic image. He sees a black heart pierced by a sword dripping blood. He remembers that Paul has recently broken up with his girlfriend. Even though he says he is fine, the image says he is still aching from the loss of this relationship. Stephen is concerned about Pauls health. He calls to see how he is feeling and he finds out that Paul is somewhat despondent. The doctor has prescribed pills to regulate his heartbeat. Isnt that interesting? Here was the heart image and it was giving Stephen feedback after just talking to Paul that his intuitive diagnosis is confirmed. He goes on to the third step, which is finding the appropriate tool to help his friend resolve the situation. He comes up with the method I give of filling a painful area with happier memories. Stephen starts talking to Paul about the recent separation. He can ask Paul to remember the good moments of his relationship or a time in his life when he felt happy. Then he can teach Paul how to install this positive memory into his heart. Finally we are looking towards the lesson or the insight, here. Even though Stephen senses that Paul invests too much in other people putting them on a pedestal, he doesnt just want to directly say that. Next time Stephen is speaking to his friend, he says, "Did you idolize your girlfriend? Did you put her up on a pedestal?" When he begins to make that connection, Paul begins to make the connection that in a relationship, the lesson he is learning is not just to give but he needs to have a give and take for balance in his life. KG: In this situation, the assumption is that the friend has given permission for all of this to happen. Is there not some level of ethics involved in doing this sort of work for other people? ME: Sure, it reminds me of the song, "I hear you knocking, but you cant come in." So many times we try to barge into another space. There are many times when I want to send healing to a person and something stops me from doing so. If I really wanted to be effective, and that is the key to be effective, I say to a person, would you like a healing? It is between me and them. I cant say to somebody else send healing to my friend; it is between me and them. If they say yes, then they are open to it. KG: Because of course, the whole piece of it is that we cant know what kind of healing they need or whether truly they ought not to receive it at that moment. Unfortunately, they may need that suffering because there is a lesson to be learned there. We cant ever know unless we ask for permission. We could be barging in where we shouldnt be trotting at that point. ME: The lesson is a part of it. It is not violating their space. They have to take the responsibility. I am from New York City. We know about tight parking spaces. I always knew that if I got into a tight parking space, I could always get out. It is the same with illness. Now we got in and then we have to find the way out. There is a whole question for me as a psychologist of illness as the secondary gains. This person needs to get on their feet. Sometimes they need the quiet time, the introspective time, KG: Like the woman and her shoulder. Maybe she really needed that in order to back away. Let me ask you a few more questions about where you are going from here. Do you have other books and tapes that are coming up for you and how can people get in touch with you to learn more? ME: I have a web site and my web site is called "Power Hunch." (http://www.powerhunch.com). I have a series of tapes on dreams that I made years ago. The "Intuitive Healer" is also on a two audio cassette tape published by Simon & Schuster. "Nightingale Conant has a series of six audiocassettes I made that is titled "Intuition: How To Use Your Gut Instinct For Greater Personal Power." They can see the products on the web site. Where I am going next is back to my work with intuition and business, which is back to power hunches. KG: The book is available in bookstores now? ME: It is available in bookstores now and they can also call 1-800-288-2131. You can also order it via Amazon.com KG: Lets switch gears and talk about INREACHING for just a few minutes before we finish up. Can you give us a synopsis of what it is all about? ME: Sure. The idea of INREACHING is that people who want to develop their intuitive ability and people who want to practice using it are getting together all over the world. We have 850 members. We have groups throughout Europe, India, and Australia. What has excited me is to see people get together in their groups. I was responsible for putting together a manual. I took some excerpts from some of the top books on intuition. I did not take excerpts just from my book, but used selections from Sharon Franquemont, Victor Beasley, Nancy Rosanoff and other books so that people will start working with them together. When you work in a group, the support is wonderful. KG: How can people get in touch with a group? How can people find out how they can join a group? ME: The first step is to email "inreaching.com" and tell us of their interests and their intent. We send them a survey form to fill out. We get an idea of what geographical area they are located in so that we can connect them with other people in the area. I might say that people can also go to my website and on the website is INREACHING and they can get a survey form. KG: The "Power Hunch" web site they can go to. Okay. That is great. Do you have any final words of wisdom before we close for the evening? ME: Yes. To me, one of the whole things with reversing a health challenge and to create a healthy balance is to transform agitation and discomfort into productive healing solutions. We are trying to shift from woundedness to wholeness and to do that we are looking for our silver lining. We find our silver lining by examining the experience of a low time in our life. When I was depressed, it was writing this book, for example. That is my main thing, to say to people that they should create a scrapbook or collect quotes to represent their healing journey. I love to collect sayings. One of my favorite sayings is from Mother Theresa. "We must do small things for one another with great love." As you start collecting your quotes and collecting your stories about your journey and other peoples journeys, you start putting these things into action. For example, when I start thinking of a small thing that I could do for someone with great love, whom could I smile at or whom could I give a call to? We are talking about realizing that people have the power to think themselves well. They can call on a tremendous resource from within. It is like positive thoughts, positive emotions, acts, and beliefs and this is what is going to create a happy and healthy body. KG: That is fantastic. It is so true. ME: Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to share and express my views on using intuition for healing. KG: Thank you and thank you for the book. As I have said, we enjoy it and now I have to give it back to my husband! |
